PCLOUDS – METAPHOR APPARATUS

In this installation, new performative interactions with the material and immaterial through a sensual focus on form-giving and language production can be explored.

 

Water vapour becomes a strange medium and raises questions on its materiality. We are forced to look on our own traces in that material, on our behaviour, methods and tools to capture it.

 

The gaseous, lively, mutable, oscillating, cloudy agent will impose its own rules, while being playfully transformed by heating, cooling, moisturising through a control system of the cloud machinery. Boundaries can be defined by setting the conditions for the vapour to appear, being organized and re-interpreted by a machine learning algorithm.
